Make Pets a Part of Your New Amelia National Home

June 14, 2024A new custom Florida home at Amelia National Golf & Country Club sounds good to you and yours, and you’re in except for those family members who can’t voice an option — your pets. We at ICI Homes promise that Fido, Fluffy and other furry and feathered friends will love this master-planned community. As one of our of signature properties, it’s in northeast Florida only minutes west of Amelia Island, a half-hour north of metro Jacksonville, and minutes east of Interstate 75, the state’s north-south traffic artery. Amelia National couldn’t be better located, but if you’d like to make sure your new neighborhood and abode is a great location for your best animal friends too, no worries. Read on to learn how to make pets a part of your new Amelia National home. Hometown treats Amelia National’s historic hometown of Fernandina Beach is a quick drive east of the community and a great place to visit with Fido. Its shopping, dining and entertainment district is famously dog friendly, with water bowls stationed outside many shop entrances. Leashed pups can enjoy sidewalk strolls and take in a sunset over Fernandina Beach’s marina. A number of bars and eateries, especially those with outdoor dining facilities, are pup-friendly but it’s always best to call ahead, or check the establishment’s website to be sure. Fernandina Beach even boasts a dog-dedicated store — Redbones Dog Bakery and Boutique — where pet parents will find all sorts of treats and accessories. Walk the dog Amelia Island beaches (and those within Fernandina Beach city limits) permit leashed pets. A New Second Gate for Amelia National Residents

Construction is beginning on a second residents’ gate on the community’s southeastern flank — yet one more new “amenity” in a place stocked full of them. Located only minutes west of historic Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island, and minutes east of Interstate 95, Amelia National couldn’t be more convenient to Atlantic beaches, dining and shopping on Amelia Island, and the metro Jacksonville area a half-hour south. Now, Amelia National residents will experience even more of that convenience via their new second community access gate. Curious? Read on for more information. Amelia National is in demand For good reasons. It’s long been one of ICI Homes’ signature properties and it’s certainly large enough to require two gates. And, there’s plenty of room for future residents seeking that dream home at a dreamy northeast Florida address. Please Give a Warm Welcome to Pete Milner – Lead Assistant Golf Professional at Amelia National

April 1, 2024Many of you have likely seen a new face in the Amelia National Golf Shop and around the practice facility over the past few weeks. We are excited to formally introduce our New Lead Assistant Golf Professional, Peter “Pete” Milner! Pete started playing Par 3/ Pitch & Putt golf at the age of 7 and quickly developed a love and passion for the game. Despite the rules of golf in Ireland preventing him from playing a regulation course until the age of 11, he rose to highest level in Ireland as one of the youngest champion Pitch & Putt players ever. He joined Ashbourne Golf Club on his 11th birthday and continued his growth, winning player of the year several years running. As the accolades piled up, he was thrust into the County and International scene, where he was part of the youngest County Champions team in history, winning all of his matches. When he turned 18, he knew exactly what he wanted to do; play golf full-time. Since then, he has been growing and developing his game and coaching skills all while trying to play full-time on the Mini-Tours and competing in Monday Qualifiers/Open Events. He had some success winning in Germany on the PGA Circuit and some other smaller events. Eventually, his focus shifted fully to coaching and using his years of playing experience to help other golfers enjoy the game. He received a Master Teaching “Class A” and a degree in Sports Science (focusing on spinal and motor control function). He’s also a Certified Golf Biomechanical Practitioner and has an NLP in Sports Psychology. “I feel I am well equipped with my knowledge and experience to help any golfer of any level improve and enjoy the game more.
