Looking for a new Florida home? Near the Atlantic Ocean? Far from maddening crowds? Follow us to Amelia National Golf and Country Club. It’s located west of the historic town of Fernandina Beach — only 10 minutes from golden beaches — and is your ticket to a serene Florida lifestyle.
Oh yeah. It’s convenient, too.
Welcome to Nassau County, Florida
It’s the home of Amelia National, an exclusive, gated community that features a Tom Fazio-designed golf course, an eight-court tennis club, and vibrant dining and social scenes anchored in its French Provincial clubhouse.
Nassau County sits at the state’s northeastern tip and boasts those beaches, centuries of history and beautiful natural vistas. Think dark-green pine forests, live oaks dripping Spanish moss, coastal marshes carved by tidal creeks and boating on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway.
Considered Florida’s eastern gateway, Nassau County is bordered by the state of Georgia to its north, by the Atlantic Ocean to its east and intersected by Interstate 95 to its west. It also contains one of the state’s best-known vacation spots — Amelia Island.
Where’s Amelia National?
Close to the center of Nassau County, a bit south of State Road 200/A1A, the county’s main east-west thoroughfare. It’s a busy one — with 8.5 miles being widened from four to six lanes — but it connects Nassau County residents to beaches, shopping, restaurants and every imaginable goods-and-services business. Soon, it will be even more efficient — and contain bicycle lanes — thanks to the state’s widening project.
To get to SR 200, exit Amelia National’s gated entrance, turn right on Amelia Concourse and head north. A mile or so later, you’re at the traffic light at SR 200.

Easy Access to ‘JAX’
“But, I’ll be in the boonies,” you say. You will not. Only 30 minutes south — straight down I-95 — lies Jacksonville, one of Florida’s largest metropolitan areas. Go enjoy a Jacksonville Jaguars’ NFL home game or a night at the symphony. Then, leave the congestion behind and head home to Amelia National. There, you’ll hear owls hoot rather than traffic, crowds and sirens. Perhaps you’ll spot, via moonlight, a deer tiptoeing across a fairway.
Easy Access to Everywhere Else
Even if you love living at Amelia National, you may venture out for business obligations, vacations or day trips. The community’s central location is as convenient for those destinations as it is for cultural or entertainment forays into ‘JAX.’
Jacksonville International Airport is 20 minutes south — another straight shot south on I-95. Amelia National residents are only two hours from Orlando and its legendary attractions, and 10 minutes from the picturesque town of Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island’s 13 miles of beaches. Need to go to Atlanta? Jump on I-95 north. You’re only five hours away.
