Already the premier master-planned community in northeast Florida, Amelia National Golf & Country Club is getting even better.
Construction is beginning on a second residents’ gate on the community’s southeastern flank — yet one more new “amenity” in a place stocked full of them.
Located only minutes west of historic Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island, and minutes east of Interstate 95, Amelia National couldn’t be more convenient to Atlantic beaches, dining and shopping on Amelia Island, and the metro Jacksonville area a half-hour south.
Now, Amelia National residents will experience even more of that convenience via their new second community access gate.

Amelia National is in demand
For good reasons. It’s long been one of ICI Homes’ signature properties and it’s certainly large enough to require two gates. And, there’s plenty of room for future residents seeking that dream home at a dreamy northeast Florida address.
Amelia National’s Tom Fazio-designed golf course is the top gem among its many amenities. It’s one of the region’s finest layouts and meanders throughout the community, forming a picturesque backdrop to already lush coastal woodlands and plentiful ponds.
A French Provincial clubhouse anchors Amelia National’s amenities, hosting lively social and dining experiences, a fitness center, resort-style swimming pool, and a sundeck. Next door is a tennis center with eight Har-Tru courts. And, since Amelia National is a mature community, everything is ready to enjoy.
Those goodies are a major reason Amelia National is more popular than ever. Its latest building phases extend to the community’s southeastern landscape and many of the new homes taking shape — and inventory homes awaiting their first residents — border the Tom Fazio golf course, or adjacent forest or pond views. They’re only a minute or two from Amelia National’s main gate.
But soon, residents on that side of Amelia National will have another access option.
About that new gate
Headed to Amelia National to check it out? You’ll reach it by turning south off State Road 200 onto Amelia Concourse Parkway. Go two miles and Amelia National’s main gated entrance for visitors and residents will be on your left. Once you enter the community, you’ll be on its principal street that connects all of its various neighborhoods — Amelia National Parkway.
Soon, however, you’ll be able to continue south on Amelia Concourse Parkway and enter the community via the new gate, which will give Amelia National residents multiple access points.
Construction begins now and the timeline for the new gate is approximately 18 months.
The site development company helming the project will extend Amelia National Parkway beyond its current, temporary end point out to the new gated entrance on the southern stretch of Amelia Concourse Parkway. This will be a residents-only gate, which means visitors must continue to enter the community through the main gatehouse. It’ll include lovely landscaping and hardscaping to distinguish it along Amelia National Parkway.
