Searching for a new home north of Jacksonville, Florida? Near the city, but not its daily hustle and bustle?

Head northeast of “JAX” to Amelia National Golf and Country Club. It’s located 10 minutes west of Amelia Island, one of Florida’s sought-after Atlantic Coast destinations, and offers resort-style A Month in the Life of Amelia Nationalliving in a private, gated community.

But if you think all you’ll hear are crickets and the whack of a golf club against a ball, think again. This expansive, master-planned community set amid coastal forests and tranquil ponds, offers enough activities and social events to fill its residents’ calendars every day of the week.

And no, we’re not kidding.

Here’s a quick look at a month in the life of Amelia National.

Where do I start?

Maybe you’ve just moved in, or are strongly considering buying a home here. Chances are you know that Amelia National’s calling card is golf, on a Tom Fazio-designed course opens in a new window that’s as stunning as you can imagine.

Golf always is a great place to start here. It’s hardly the only option, however.

There’s a tennis center opens in a new window with eight Har-Tru courts, a massive resort-style swimming pool opens in a new window, a fitness center opens in a new window with personal training available, miles of sidewalks to walk, run or stroll, and a hopping — almost literally — social and dining opens in a new window scene at the country club.

It’s your fault if you’re bored!

A typical golfing month at Amelia National

Amelia National men’s and women’s golfers have scheduled course time at least four days each week, with 9-hole and 18-hole-rounds available. On Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m., women golfers can meet for coffee, then channel all that caffeine energy into a 9-hole round at our “Nine Hole Iron Ladies” meet-ups.

We also host events and tournaments. For example, Amelia National hosted the three-day Jacksonville University Women’s College Tournament, the Journey Church Golf Invitational, the JaxPort Golf Tournament, a Ladies Society luncheon and a ladies’ invitational – all last February! Nearly every month is just as packed full of fun weekly, monthly, or annual golf events.
